We are recruiting a Leading Hand Roofer for a well established roofing contractor with a steady pipeline of mainly residential and insurance related roofing work across the Moreton Bay region. This is a permanent role for someone who wants to run a crew, not just sit on one.

About the role

You will lead a small roofing crew on site, set out the work, and hold the standard on quality and safety. Much of the work is residential insurance repairs, so you will be comfortable working to scopes, getting make safe and full repairs done on time, and keeping the finish to the standard the client expects.

What you will be doing

• Leading and coordinating a small roofing crew on day to day site works

• Delivering residential insurance repair and replacement work to scope

• Setting out jobs and managing materials and sequencing

• Installing [tile / metal] roofing to a high standard

• Keeping work safe, compliant, and on programme

• Reporting to the site supervisor on progress and any delays

What we are looking for

• Proven roofing experience with time spent leading a crew

• Minimum 4-5 years of roofing experience with at least 1 year of crew leadership experience required

• Experience with both tile and metal roofing systems is required

• Experience with residential and insurance repair work an advantage

• White Card and Working at Heights

• EWP licence preferred but not essential

• A current driver licence and a reliable way to get to sites across the region

• Must have the right to work in Australia

• Someone who turns up, sets the pace, and gets the job finished
