Roof Painter

About the role

Australian Renovation Trades Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Roof Painter to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Caboolture, QLD 4510 and offers the opportunity to work on diverse residential and commercial roofing projects. As a Roof Painter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality finishing work that protects and enhances the aesthetic appeal of properties across the region. This role requires a skilled tradesperson who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all projects meet our exacting standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare roof surfaces through cleaning, priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion

2. Apply protective coatings and paint to various roof types, including metal, tile, concrete materials

3. Maintain accurate records of materials used, areas painted and project timelines

4. Ensure work site cleanliness and proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations

5. Liaise with project managers and clients to discuss requirements, timelines and any modifications needed

6. Adhere to all health and safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

What we're looking for

1. Current qualifications in roof painting or equivalent demonstrated experience in roof painting and tile roof restorations

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a roof painter or roof tiler in the building trades industry

3. Valid Working at Height certification or willingness to obtain this qualification

4. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, including working safely at height

5. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and project plans

6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

7. Reliable transportation to various job sites across the Brisbane region and surrounding areas

8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other trades

9. Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to varying project requirements
