Pinnacle Travel Group (PTG) is on the lookout for skilled and motivated Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our dynamic Malaga workshop, where your expertise will help keep one of WA’s most diverse and exciting transport fleet moving across WA. We have Roles in both Nightshift & Dayshift available.

The Role:
Predominantly based in our Depot in Malaga, the successful applicant will join our Workshop Team focusing on our fleet of Coaches & Buses - conducting servicing, modification, diagnosis & repairs. Our skilled workshop team are supportive and dedicated to delivering quality work to ensure our fleet is reliable, presentable and safe for our passengers to facilitate the smooth operation of our growing travel & tourism demands. This role demands a positive worker with a strong focus on safety and takes pride in the role.
The ideal applicant will have outstanding mechanical aptitude, excellent diagnostic, problem solving & technical skills. An understanding or experience with buses or coaches is highly regarded, but not essential.
Working hours, shift patterns and flexibility options can be discussed further during the interview stage.
Responsibilities:
Duty of care and responsibility in relation to Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.
Maintain and inspect all company vehicles to company standards in a time effective manner.
Ensure fleet and repair records are maintained in accordance with vehicle manufacturer’s specifications and the Department of Transport Omnibus Operator Standards Scheme Vehicle Maintenance Program.
Carry out installation or repair of mechanical components of our vehicles.
Diagnose, service and repair a range of heavy vehicles, including BCI, Mann, Volvo, Scania & Mercedes.
Assist in maintaining vehicle monitoring systems, including wifi, GPS tracking, Communications, CCTV and various sensors.
Consult with our Malaga workshop manager for support & assistance.
Updating service records & vehicle details via an online portal.
General workshop maintenance.
Operate or test drive vehicles as required.
Occasionally conduct work in other locations, such as Lancelin and Rottnest Island.
Skills
Trade Qualification – Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical certification (or similar).
Experience working on heavy diesel vehicles (buses/coaches preferred, but not mandatory).
Strong diagnostic capability.
Understanding of WA transport compliance requirements.
Current Australian working rights.
Current driver’s licence (HR Class driver’s license highly regarded).
Working at heights certificate and other relevant High Risk Work Licences, or willingness to obtain.
Audio/communication experience beneficial.
Autonomous and team player.
