QC Architectural is a factory-applied coatings and prefinished building materials manufacturer based in Carole Park. We supply prefinished cladding, panel, profile and substrate products to the construction and architecture market across Australia. Our finishes have to be right - and that means our painters have to be exceptional.

We have a genuine immediate start for an experienced 2-Pac / Spray Painter who knows their product and takes quality seriously.

The Role

You'll be operating factory coating machinery as well as hand spraying across a wide range of substrate types including fibre cement sheet, plywood, MDF, timber profiles, and complete product samples. No single-substrate repetition here - the work is varied and technically interesting.

Quality control is a core part of the job, not an afterthought. You own your finish quality.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating factory-applied coating machinery (automated spray lines, spray booths, Roll Coat, Curtain Coat etc)

• Hand spraying 2-pac finishes across FC, Ply, MDF, timber profiles and composite substrates

• Mixing, tinting and preparing 2-pac systems to manufacturer TDS specifications

• Conducting QC checks throughout production - film build, viscosity, colour, sheen, adhesion

• Identifying and correcting surface defects

• Producing client product samples to specification

• Maintaining spray equipment, guns, lines and booth cleanliness

• Accurate batch and colour record keeping

• Following WHS requirements including PPE, chemical handling procedures

What We Need From You

• Minimum 3 years 2-pac / spray painting experience

• Factory or manufacturing environment background

• Solid understanding of 2-pac chemistry - pot life, catalyst ratios, film build, flash times

• Experience operating factory coating machinery, not just hand gun application

• Strong QC mindset - you catch problems before they become expensive

• Ability to read and follow colour specifications and technical data sheets

• Reliable, self-driven, and able to maintain pace without cutting corners

• $38 to $45 per hour (casual rate, inclusive of casual loading) based on your experience + super

• 3 month casual trial period with a full-time permanent position on offer for the right person
