About the role

Ventia have a contract supporting the maintenance of the Millmerran Power Station and Skout Solutions are seeking 2 Mechanical Fitters to drive in and out to the power station to assist for a period of 6 months in the Maintenance team. This role has the possibility of permanent work thereafter

Whats in it for you:

10.5 hours per day, fulltime work week with overtime offered in a great team environment.
Casual rate of $69.70 per hour Mon-Thurs. 5th day worked in the week pays double time after the first 2 hours. There is also a weekly allowance of $131 and a tool allowance of $29.
Opportunity to work on a power station, experience in the resources industry not essential

Duties include but are not limited to

Maintain plant effectively to the set standards;
Work with Trades Assistants and other tradesmen to achieve plant performance;
Complete minor plant isolation and operation;
Complete routine plant mechanical maintenance

You will need

Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical fitter or mechanically minded HV mechanic)
Maintenance experience required, mining experience is not essential
A commitment to OH&S practices
To be available for A Coal Fit respirator test that we will pay for and organize in Toowoomba, prior to first day
Current Drivers licence and construction White or Blue card
