Boilermaker Fabricator

CAMM Quarries is a family-owned and locally operated business based in Townsville, North Queensland. As part of the Doyle Group, we form part of an integrated group of companies delivering quarry materials, ready-mix concrete, contract crushing, bulk haulage, civil construction and project development across the region.

Due to continued growth in our operations, we are seeking an experienced Boilermaker/Fabricator to join our workshop team in Townsville.

The Role

As a Boilermaker/Fabricator, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing equipment across our quarry and crushing operations. Working as part of our workshop team, you will carry out fabrication, welding and repair work to ensure our plant and equipment remain reliable and operational.

This role offers a variety of work across fixed plant, crushing equipment and heavy machinery components.

Key Responsibilities

· Medium to heavy fabrication of plant components, machinery and structural steel

· Welding, repairs and maintenance of machinery and fixed plant

· Arc-air gouging of major components

· Flux-core welding repairs on mobile equipment

· Refurbishment and rebuild of loader and excavator buckets, truck trays, excavator booms and sticks

· Carrying out repairs and maintenance to a high standard

· Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

· Working both independently and as part of the workshop team

About You

· Trade qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator

· High level of welding knowledge and skills (Stick and MIG essential, TIG desirable)

· Experience working with heavy plant or quarry equipment (desirable)

· Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

· Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively

· Strong time management and organisational skills

· Commitment to workplace health and safety

· MR driver’s licence and White Card (desirable)

· Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets advantageous
