The Role

We are seeking a Factory Assistant (Cabinet Manufacturing) who is an intuitive decision-maker, has great instincts to assess situations quickly and accurately. This role requires you to be a great team player who is selfless and compassionate in providing others with what they need in the right way.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring production team members have the tools, materials and hardware when and where they need it; assisting production team members with their tasks to ensure continuous flow; receiving deliveries from suppliers and organising inventory; and meeting clients and provide them with the finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing production team members with the materials, hardware and assistance when and where they need it

  • Day-to-day organisation of factory

  • Operating forklift for deliveries, pick-ups and moving material within factory

  • Managing inventory of board - receiving and storing new deliveries and managing off-cuts

  • Increasing the efficiency of factory processes

  • Communicate effectively with the drafting team, machining team and assembly team members

  • Improvement of manufacturing processes

About You

We are looking for a proactive individual that are gifted at and derive energy and joy from providing others with encouragement and assistance for projects and tasks. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operating a forklift (Forklift license is compulsory)

  • Ability to manage inventory with a strong focus on detail

  • Problem-solving skills with a growth mindset

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members

  • Commitment to smart workingcontinuous improvement, and personal development and success

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is favourable
