COGO Engineering is a Gladstone-based, family-owned business specialising in valve, actuator and process equipment maintenance. We provide services to a range of industrial clients throughout Queensland and across Australia, delivering high-quality workmanship, responsive service, and practical engineering solutions.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position involving workshop and site-based work across a variety of industries. The successful applicant will gain exposure to a broad range of mechanical maintenance activities and have opportunities to travel to client sites throughout Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

• Valve overhaul, maintenance and testing

• PSV recertification within our NATA-certified facility

• Pump overhauls and replacements

• Flange management activities

• General mechanical fitting duties

• Manual machining and on-site machining

• Site shutdown and maintenance support

• Completion of service reports and quality documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Current Driver's Licence

• Willingness to undertake occasional site travel

• New graduates and recent apprentices are encouraged to apply

Experience with valves, actuators, pumps or process equipment is highly regarded but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
