Love solving problems on real vehicles?
Finch Restorations is looking for a capable mechanic or auto-electrician to join our new Hindmarsh workshop.
This is not dealership work.
This is genuine hands-on work across classic cars, heritage trucks, motorcycles, and special projects.
Finch Restorations has been operating since 1965 and is Australia's oldest vehicle restoration business.
We work on everything from century-old trucks to classic cars and rare motorcycles.
Our team includes mechanics, panel beaters, engine builders, auto-electricians, trimmers, machinists, fabricators, and coachbuilders working together on some of Australia's most interesting restoration projects.
We're after a versatile tradesperson who can:
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
Repair or replace wiring looms and electrical components.
Service and repair classic and heritage vehicles.
Diagnose and rebuild engines, drivelines, braking systems and suspension systems.
Work confidently on older vehicles without relying on modern scan tools.
Assist with restoration, assembly and commissioning of completed vehicles.
Contribute to unique and complex restoration projects.
You'll have:
Trade qualifications as a mechanic, auto-electrician, or similar.
Experience diagnosing faults and solving problems independently.
Confidence working on older mechanical and electrical systems.
A practical, capable and solutions-focused attitude.
Full Australian working rights.
Work on vehicles 30-120 years old.
Genuine variety across multiple vehicle types.
Strong team of experienced tradespeople.
Flexible start times and 9-day fortnights.
Flagship workshop in Hindmarsh.
Bring your skills and passion for classic vehicles to Finch Restorations.
