City Generators – Field Service
City Generators is a leading provider of generator supply, installation, and maintenance services across Queensland and New South Wales. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Electrical/Mechanical Fitter to join our expanding team.
Our head office is located in Nambour on the Sunshine Coast; however, this is a mobile field‑service role suited to candidates based in either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast. Daily attendance at the office is not required, as you will frequently travel directly to site. For this reason, the position is advertised as a Brisbane/Sunshine Coast opportunity.
This is a hands-on role involving both electrical and mechanical work on diesel generator systems. You will be provided with a fully equipped company work vehicle to carry out on-site installation, servicing and maintenance works.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Installation and commissioning of generator sets
Routine servicing of diesel generators (oil changes, filters, general servicing)
Fault finding and repairs on electrical and mechanical components
Preventative maintenance and breakdown response
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
This role would suit:
A qualified electrician with mechanical aptitude.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in diesel generators, engines, or similar equipment (preferred but not essential)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage field service work
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Current manual driver's licence
Manual car licence (C class) is required for this role.
Applicants must be Australian permanent residents or citizens.
Company vehicle provided for work use
Variety of work across installation, servicing, and breakdowns
Supportive team environment
Opportunity to develop skills in a specialised and growing industry
At City Generators, we are a second generation business established in 1986. We pride ourselves on delivering reliable power solutions and high-quality service to our customers. You'll be joining a team that values quality workmanship, reliability, and professional growth.
Apply now to become part of a growing, dynamic team in the power generation industry.
