Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd is a wholly South Australian owned & operated supplier of custom transport equipment & heavy vehicle modifications.

The Role:

We currently have a number of positions for a Fitter / Welder.  The role will be 38 hours a week with a 2pm finish every Friday. Overtime is available subject to workload & supervision.

If you are motivated & willing to learn new skills, this is an opportunity to become part of a successful & established company, with an eye to the future. The successful candidates would ideally have experience in any of these areas: Fitter & Turner, Welder, Automotive Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Service Technician, or have Semi Trailer, forklift, plant or general mechanical Experience.

Duties:

These positions will be required to carry out a wide range truck modifications & duties, including but not limited to the following:

  • Prime mover fit outs;

  • Tow Bar & 5th wheel installs;

  • Hydraulic installations;

  • General fitting & mechanical work;

  • General welding & fabrication;

  • Fitting electrical components & accessories 

  • Operating power tools including grinders, magnetic drills etc.

Essential Requirements:

  • Driver’s licence

  • Basic Mechanics hand tools
