About the role
Modstruct Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician Tradesman and apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis. Based out of Smeaton Grange, NSW 2567, this position plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical services to our Government and commercial clients. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across a variety of Elect & HVAC projects. This role is integral to ensuring our clients receive reliable, safe, and compliant electrical solutions that meet industry standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities
Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to understand project requirements
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, site supervisors, and project managers to complete projects on schedule
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order and used safely
Adhere to all health and safety requirements and procedures on site
What we're looking for
Current electrical license recognized in New South Wales (NSW), such as a Restricted Electrical License or equivalent qualification
Proven experience working as an Electrician in the trades and services sector
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuit design, and electrical safety standards
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
A valid driver's license
White Card
Working at heights (or willingness to obtain one)
Yellow card (or willingness to obtain one)
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000) is highly desirable
Experience working on commercial, industrial projects is advantageous
