CARPENTER (Sub-contractor)

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Experienced Carpenter to join our team for commercial construction and fit-out projects. The successful candidate will work across a variety of sites including retail stores, aged care facilities, and healthcare environments, delivering high-quality carpentry work in line with project specifications and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from plans, drawings, and specifications.

• Carry out all aspects of commercial carpentry, including:

  • Framing, fix-outs, and finishing work

  • Installation of partitions, doors, windows, cabinetry, skirtings, and fixtures

  • Fit-outs for retail and healthcare/aged care environments

• Adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and site safety procedures.

• Collaborate effectively with other trades and site supervisors.

• Conduct minor demolition and structural alterations where required.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring minimal disruption in sensitive environments (e.g. occupied aged care or medical facilities).

• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.

Skills and Experience:

• Trade qualification in Carpentry

• Minimum 5 years of post-apprenticeship carpentry experience, ideally in commercial environments.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

• Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious.

• White Card (Construction Induction).

• Current driver’s license and own tools (preferred).

• Previous experience working in live environments (e.g. operating retail or aged care facilities).

• Basic computer or tablet literacy for project apps or site documentation.
