Light Vehicle Mechanic

My client, JRace Industries are a specialist automotive engineering and fabrication workshop, known for high quality vehicle modifications, suspension upgrades and second-stage manufacturing. 

They are seeking a full time permanent Apprentice Light Vehicle Mechanic (2nd to 4th year) or recently qualified mechanic to join them.  This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, combining mechanical work with fabrication, welding and custom vehicle builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics

  • Mechanical assembly and vehicle modifications

  • Accessory fittings (canopies, bull bars, toolboxes etc.)

  • Basic fabrication and welding tasks

  • Accurate job records

  • Safe work practices

  • Producing work to a high standard of quality

About You:

  • 2nd, 3rd or 4th year light vehicle mechanic apprentice or recently qualified with Certificate III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

  • current Driver’s License

  • reliable, motivated and willing to learn

  • takes pride in quality work

  • good problem solving and teamwork skills

  • fabrication or welding experience desirable, but not essential
