REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN WANTED

We are looking for a Qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician to join our growing team in the Whitsundays.

What you'll be doing:

• Service, maintenance and breakdown work across commercial and residential systems

• Installation of air conditioning, refrigeration, coldrooms and post mix systems

• Mentoring and supporting our apprentices, helping develop the next generation of technicians

• Participating in our after hours on call roster every few weeks (because refrigeration equipment has a remarkable ability to fail at 2am on weekends)

• Driving around the beautiful Whitsundays pretending you're not secretly judging other people's installations

What we need:

• A qualified refrigeration and air conditioning technician

• A current Arctick licence, Restricted Electrical Licence and QBCC Occupational Licence

• Refrigeration experience

• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills

• Good attitude

• Ability to work independently

• A mentor for our apprentices

• Someone who shows up, takes pride in their work and backs their teammates

• Someone who won't whinge about going on call every few weeks

Bonus points if you:

• Can find a refrigerant leak in less time than it takes someone to write "system is low on gas" on the job card

• Can explain refrigeration to an apprentice without interpretive dance

• Have a good sense of humour and being part of a close-knit team

• Can solve problems without immediately need to phone a friend (your Manager)
