Experienced Fitter – Pure Oil Maintenance Services
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Pure Oil Maintenance Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Fitter to join our close-knit team based in Brisbane. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of emergency, preventative, and project maintenance activities on machinery and equipment, with a strong focus on hydraulic oil filtration systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform the fitting, assembly, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic oil filtration equipment.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty machinery and equipment.
Utilise a variety of hand and power tools to assemble and fit components, applying sound mechanical principles and practices.
Conduct routine maintenance on oil filtration equipment to maximise reliability and operational efficiency.
Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic components, adaptor fittings, hoses, and tubing.
Complete planned, reactive, and project-based maintenance tasks in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborate with management and operators to address equipment breakdowns and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
Interpret oil analysis results and implement corrective actions through condition monitoring practices.
Maintain a sound understanding of filtration media and filtration equipment.
Conduct proactive equipment inspections and breakdown analyses to identify recurring issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Perform general workshop and factory duties as required.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification.
Basic knowledge of industrial and automotive lubricants, lubrication systems, and condition monitoring practices.
Hydraulics A & B Certificates of Attainment.
Demonstrated experience in hydraulic systems, hydraulic component fitting, machining, and welding.
Current Confined Space Entry certification.
Current Forklift Licence.
Current Manual Driver’s Licence.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to interpret and work from schematic drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
Strong organisational, administrative, and time management abilities.
The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Willingness and ability to travel interstate and work on shutdown projects when required.
