ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the continuous growth and expansion of our Fabrication division, we are seeking an experienced Fabrication Leading Hand to step up and guide our growing team of tradesmen and apprentices.

Fabrication Leading Hand

  • Full time position

  • Pinjarra workshop

  • 7/7 Roster - home every night

  • Day shift only

  • Super paid on all hours worked.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Fabrication Supervisor and act as the first point of contact/direct leader for tradesmen, apprentices, and T/As.

  • Ensure the team works safely, adheres to site policies, and maintains a clean workshop environment.

  • Assist with workshop scheduling and input ideas to maximise daily productivity and efficiency.

  • Accurately read/interpret technical drawings and provide hands-on troubleshooting support to the team.

  • Train and mentor apprentices and production staff to build team capability.

  • Ensure infrastructure is checked and kept in good working order.

Successful applicants must have:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor.

  • Proven experience with underground earthmoving machinery and bucket/tray refurbishment

  • Tickets such as Forklift, Dogging, EWP, Confined Space, and Working at Heights (preferred)

  • Current National Police Clearance

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen

  • Current WA Driver's Licence

  • Preferably reside within 60km of Pinjarra

  • Must have full Australian Working Rights
