Landmark Resort & Spa is a well-established beachfront resort in the heart of beautiful Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Officer / Handy Person to join our team in a permanent full-time salaried position.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring our resort facilities and guest apartments are maintained to a high standard.
The role focuses on minor repairs and preventative maintenance. Major works are undertaken by licensed contractors, allowing you to focus on day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting and facility upkeep.
Responsibilities include:
General repairs and maintenance throughout the resort
Painting, plastering, minor carpentry and basic plumbing repairs
Maintenance of pools and spas
Installation and replacement of white goods
Monitoring fire and building systems
Liaising with reception and guests regarding maintenance requests
Scheduling and coordinating external contractors when required
Assisting with preventative maintenance programs
Maintaining the presentation and functionality of resort facilities
You are a practical, hands-on person who takes pride in your work and enjoys solving problems.
To be successful you will have:
Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience
Experience in building, property, accommodation, hospitality or facilities maintenance environments
Knowledge of general maintenance and repair work
Basic understanding of air conditioning, electrical, mechanical and building systems
Experience maintaining swimming pools and spas (or willingness to learn)
Good computer skills and confidence using email
Strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional presentation and a positive attitude
Most importantly, you are dependable, take ownership of your work and are looking for a long-term position with a quality employer.
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this position.
