Tree Worker

About the role

Howletts Tree Service is seeking a Tree Worker to join our team in Busselton, WA. This is a casual position on commencement, with opportunity to become permanent for suitable person. Your major role will be part of a team carrying out vegetation management along power lines.

This hands-on role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Safely trimming and pruning trees using appropriate techniques and equipment

1. Operate EWP, chainsaws and other specialised tree care equipment in accordance with safety standards

2. Removing tree debris, branches and waste materials from work sites

3. Maintaining all tools and equipment in good working condition

4. Following all health and safety protocols and workplace procedures

5. Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors throughout work activities

6. Providing professional service to customers and responding to their requirements

7. Must be able to work away from base at times

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience working in tree industry, holding Cert 2 ESI Powerline Vegetation Control certification (essential)

2. Proficiency in using chainsaws, EWP, other tools safely and effectively

3. A strong understanding of health and safety requirements in the industry and a commitment to following all safety protocols

4. Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in challenging conditions

5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills

6. Reliability and punctuality

7. Relevant qualifications or certifications including cutting vegetation from EWP (essential)

8. A valid MR truck licence is essential
