About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Offset Printer to join our team. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our printing operations.
We are a trade print supplier, who supply NCR work and general printing services to printers across Australia, we require a Heidelberg GTO operator with experience with numbering & perfing
As an Offset Printer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining offset printing equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials that meet client specifications and deadlines. This position is fundamental to our ability to deliver exceptional print products and maintain our reputation for quality and reliability.
We would prefer someone willing to work a 4 day week, Monday - Thursday - 4 x 9.5 hour shifts with flexible starting times. Enjoy a 3 day weekend every week.
Key responsibilities
Operate offset printing presses, including setup, calibration, and monitoring to ensure optimal print quality
Prepare printing materials according to job specifications and client requirements
Monitor print quality throughout the production run and make necessary adjustments to achieve consistent results
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure proper functioning
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime and maintain production schedules
Measure and adjust ink density, colour registration, and paper feed settings
Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and manage workflow efficiently
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in the workplace
Support the implementation of quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
Proven experience operating offset printing presses in a commercial printing environment
Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, techniques, and equipment
Ability to read and interpret print specifications, colour standards, and technical documentation
Proficiency in colour matching and print quality assessment
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to health and safety practices
Relevant qualifications or certifications in offset printing (preferred)
