The Parts Interpreter is responsible for delivering accurate parts interpretation, sales support, and exceptional customer service across a wide range of commercial vehicle applications. This role plays a critical part in supporting our service department and external customers, ensuring efficient parts supply, strong customer relationships, and smooth daily operations within the Parts Department.
Provide accurate and timely parts interpretation and sales support to trade, retail, and fleet customers via counter, phone, and email.
Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate parts and accessories across multiple heavy vehicle brands.
Process sales orders, quotations, credits, and backorders accurately using the dealer management system.
Maintain professional presentation of the showroom and parts counter area.
Assist with inventory control, receipting, bin location accuracy, and participation in stocktakes.
Ensure all parts transactions are completed efficiently and in line with dealership procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Parts Department.
Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter (automotive, heavy vehicle, agricultural or similar industry preferred).
Strong product knowledge and the ability to interpret parts catalogues and electronic systems.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
High level of organisational ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current driver’s licence is essential.
This role includes a six-month probationary period.
Training will be provided by the dealership and our franchise partners.
Saturday morning work is required on a rotating roster.
The successful candidate may be required to work outside normal business hours when necessary.
