About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic to join the team at DELTA AUTO ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL PTY LTD. This is a full-time position based in Mount Pritchard, NSW 2170. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. This position is integral to our operations, directly impacting our reputation for quality workmanship and reliable service in the automotive industry.

Monthly BONUS STRUCTURE up to $2,500 Per Month

What you'll be doing

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks and tyre rotations

2. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection techniques

3. Repair and replace faulty components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and braking systems

4. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports to customers regarding required repairs

5. Perform welding, fabrication and modification work as required for vehicle repairs and customisation

6. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work completed

7. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

8. Liaise with customers to discuss repair options and provide cost estimates

9. Keep workshop equipment and tools properly maintained and organised

10. Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics where applicable

What we're looking for

1. A recognised automotive mechanics qualification or apprenticeship completion in automotive trades

2. Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a solid track record of quality workmanship

3. Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify mechanical and electrical faults accurately

4. Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools

5. Knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, braking and electrical systems

6. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards

7. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members

8. A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record

9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workshop environment

10. Problem-solving abilities and a willingness to keep up to date with automotive technology and repair techniques

11. Desirable: Experience with both petrol and diesel vehicles, as well as hybrid or electric vehicle servicing
