With major investment being made into new vehicle technology, including electric, hybrid and hydrogen vehicles, this is an excellent opportunity for mechanics seeking long‑term stability and career progression, rather than simply chasing an hourly rate.

The Opportunity

Due to rapid fleet expansion and the introduction of new vehicle platforms, our client is seeking qualified Diesel and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join their growing maintenance teams.

This organisation is focused on building capability for the future, investing in training and upskilling as new technologies roll out. With an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement currently under negotiation, upcoming improvements to shift structures and overtime arrangements are expected.

What We’re Looking For

• Trade‑qualified Diesel Motor Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
• Exposure to bus and/or truck maintenance
• Experience with Volvo and/or Mercedes vehicles is highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose faults and work safely in a busy workshop
• A strong willingness to learn and upskill, particularly as EV, hybrid and hydrogen vehicles are introduced
• Full working rights only at this time
• Willingness to complete medical assessment and police checks
