PIQ Logistics is based in South Rockhampton we provide Logistical Support for the Singapore Armed Forces and their Australian based military exercise over the past 20+ years. We are unique in being contracted to one customer. Our Logistical support service includes but is not limited to 1. Vehicle maintenance and overhaul. 2. Military vehicle fleet storage. 3. Equipment maintenance and storage. 4. Field deployment and maintenance. 5. Vehicle and equipment transportation. 6. Field catering. 7. Administration and support services.

We are currently seeking a Trades qualified "Mechanic or Diesel fitter" for the role "Workshop Technician" to join our maintenance team.

Qualifications & experience

• Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a clear federal police check is required to be obtained and maintained throughout employment.

• Must be Trade-qualified Mechanic/Diesel Fitter.

• Current driver's License to be maintained throughout employment.

• Forklift high risk License (must have, or willing to obtain).

• MR or above Truck License (must have, or willing to obtain)

• Must be willing to undertake vehicle specific driver training for the SAF fleet.

• Sound computing skills, literacy and numeracy skills to use repair manuals and complete record keeping where required.

What we offer

• Full time permanent position

• 9-day fortnight - Working hours 7:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 15:30 every 2nd Friday as per the company's collective agreement.

• Rockhampton based for around 10 months of the year. 

• Around 2 months of the year spent in remote workers camp based on six days on & one day off roster. The deployment period offers a fixed daily rate of remuneration.
