RKG Freelance is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Boilermaker Welders who take pride in their work, aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves, and want to build a long-term future with a growing WA-owned business.

We're looking for skilled tradespeople who can work independently, solve problems on the job, maintain high safety standards, and contribute positively to a close-knit team.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship trade experience.

  • Salary: Flat hourly rate equivalent to $118,000 per year (based on a 38-hour week)

  • Regular hours with long term-opportunities

  • Casual to start, with potential to move into full-time role for the right person

About the roles

These positions will involve a combination of site-based and workshop work across industrial maintenance, shutdowns, fabrication, installation and repair projects throughout the South West.

Mechanical Fitters will be involved in:

  • Installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment

  • Fault finding and breakdown repairs

  • Shutdown and maintenance projects

  • Working from technical drawings and specifications

Boilermaker Welders will be involved in:

  • Structural and pipework fabrication

  • Pressure pipe fitting and welding

  • Repair and maintenance work

  • Workshop and site-based fabrication projects

Both roles will work closely with supervisors, tradespeople and clients to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.

Experience and qualifications

  • Relevant Australian recognised qualification (Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker Welder)

  • WA Drivers Licence

  • Construction White card

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Australian citizenship is required for this position
