Lift Electrician - Installs & Maintenance

Are you an experienced A-Grade Electrician with lift installation or maintenance experience under your belt?

Hamilton Elevators (QLD) Pty Ltd is an Australian, family-owned Elevator & Car Lift Company.  We are a close nit friendly fun team. 

We are looking for another A-Grade Electrician (lift experience preferred yet not necessary) to join our team on a full-time basis to assist with our installation of a variety of lifts into building in and around Brisbane & Gold Coast. 

We are looking for someone for the long term to train and grow with the company. 

Full Training will be provided and a long term position for the right candidate.

What will you do:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine the layout of the systems components.

• Installing electrical componentry in the correct order including shaft, car and controller.

• Assembling, installing, testing and tuning elevators using hand and power tools, and testing devices such as test lamps, ammeters, and voltmeters.

• An understanding of lift code requirements

• Experience on PLC's

• Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime

• Monitor and contribute to developing new maintenance schedules for equipment, plant and other relevant data to identify faults and take action as necessary

• Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as per instructions

• Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems / processes.

• Handover assistance and training of the installation to the end user

We are looking for a candidate who has;

• A-grade Licence essential

• Become a Qualified Technical Person with ESO

• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills;

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal;

• Solid knowledge and focus on quality;

• A “can do” attitude

• Drivers Licence

• Physically fit – manual handling

• Eagerness to learn and develop skills.

• Computer skills

• Can travel to sites in and around Brisbane & Gold Coast
