Seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics / Diesel Fitters with commercial backgrounds. Experience working on emergency response vehicles, defence fleets, mining equipment or specialised heavy vehicles will be highly regarded.

In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles and associated equipment, ensuring fleet reliability and operational readiness. There may be requirements to travel and work at regional airport locations as required.

Key responsibilities include carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics, managing workshop activities, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with safety and compliance requirements. Work will primarily involve Rosenbauer 6x6 emergency response vehicles and supporting equipment.

  • $75/hour + Super + Penalties

  • 38–40 hour weeks
  • 8-hour working days

Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Diesel Fitting
  • HR Licence (essential)
  • Experience working on heavy vehicles, mobile plant or specialised equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively
  • Full Australian working rights (Permanent Resident or Citizen)
