Expressway Spares is looking for a full-time Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuild Team Leader to join the team in Mackay!

The Role

Primarily working on Caterpillar hydraulic and suspension cylinders, you'll be part of a small team of dedicated cylinder technicians. You'll have your own toolbox for personal tools, along with access to top-of-the-range measuring equipment and major tooling.

Duties

• Maintain and participate in a safe work environment

• Dismantling cylinders for the purpose of inspection, repair assessment and reporting

• Parts assessment utilising OEM software equivalents

• Failure analysis

• Improvement recommendations

• Assembly of the reconditioned cylinders while using safe work and OEM methods, completing QC documentation, and operating a custom cylinder rebuild and hydraulic test bench

• Production of a quality product with expectation of extended life

• Leading a small team to ensure scheduled work is completed daily meeting all quality standards.

Desired Qualifications/Experience

• Trade qualification preferable, however not essential

• Must have extensive CAT Hydraulic Cylinder reconditioning experience

• Leadership skills of small teams

• OEM systems operating experience desirable but not essential

• Hold a valid Driver’s License

• Current Forklift Ticket preferable, however not essential

• National Police Certificate (also known as a National Police Check)

• Able to complete a Pre Employment Medical Assessment
