Timber Yard Assistant (Casual – Full-Time Hours)
Bayswater, WA | Immediate Start | 4–8 Week Assignment
At M&B, we've been helping Western Australians build since 1969.
As one of WA's leading suppliers of timber, hardware, doors and building materials, we're seeking a hardworking and reliable Timber Yard Assistant to join our Bayswater operation on a casual basis for an immediate 4–8 week assignment.
This role offers full-time hours and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse and timber environment. No timber industry experience is required – full training will be provided.
Working within our timber operation, your primary responsibility will be sorting, grading and preparing timber products for production and customer orders.
You will play a key role in ensuring timber quality standards are maintained while supporting the wider warehouse and production teams.
Sort and grade timber products to quality standards
Identify defects and separate timber accordingly
Prepare timber for production and customer orders
Assist with stock handling and yard organisation
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Support warehouse and production activities as required
Follow all safety procedures and operational processes
To be successful in this role, you will:
Be physically fit and capable of manual handling
Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Be reliable and punctual
Have good attention to detail
Be willing to learn new skills
Be able to work safely in a warehouse or timber yard environment
Hold a current driver's licence
Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential
