Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy commercial vehicles and their systems
Work with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems
Use specialised tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and industry standards
Communicate professionally with team members and customers
Develop problem-solving skills essential for complex mechanical tasks
A nationally recognised Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Practical experience in workshops and on-site service environments
Confidence working on a wide range of heavy vehicles and machinery
Exposure to the latest technologies and industry best practices
Clear pathways to become a qualified heavy vehicle mechanic and beyond
Genuine interest in heavy vehicle mechanics and technology
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople
Reliable, punctual, and motivated to succeed in a hands-on trade
Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments

Requirements:
National Police Check or willingness to obtain
Driver’s license and reliable transport preferred
Willingness to work flexible hours as required
