AUSTCORP is currently seeking an experienced and confident Asphalt Foreman to join our customers team based in North Brisbane.
Our ideal candidate will have experience running road surfacing crews, strong leadership, and a willingness to teach and mentor newer staff, working alongside the crew Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily asphalt operations, including material handling, paving operations, and compliance with specs.
  • Oversee the crew, providing direction and ensuring effective performance.
  • Ensure safety standards and procedures are strictly followed on all projects.
  • Monitor job progress and report any issues or delays to upper management.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of work hours, materials used, and project timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and safety checks are performed regularly.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in asphalt paving or construction, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt materials, equipment, and construction processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
  • Valid driver’s licence, white card | RII tickets an advantage
