Best Constructions is a growing mining services contractor operating across regional and remote areas of the Northern Territory. We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Trade Assistant / Mine Site Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis.

This role involves working on residential and mining infrastructure projects in remote NT locations. Candidates must be physically fit, safety-focused, and capable of working in demanding outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist tradespersons and supervisors on mine site and maintenance projects

• Load, unload, move, and prepare construction materials and equipment

• Carry out manual labouring duties including trenching, digging, lifting, demolition, and site preparation

• Assist with concrete works, fencing, formwork, maintenance, and general civil construction tasks

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas and accommodation facilities

• Operate hand and power tools in accordance with safety procedures

• Follow all workplace health and safety policies, site inductions, and mine site compliance requirements

• Assist with traffic management and equipment spotting where required

• Work in remote and regional environments under varying weather conditions

• Participate in shift work, overtime, and rostered schedules as required

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in maintenance, civil works, mining, or labouring roles preferred

• White Card (Construction Induction Card) essential

• Current Driver Licence

• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening

• Strong commitment to workplace safety

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling tasks

• Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space, or machinery tickets highly regarded

Employment Conditions

• Full-time position

• Salary: AUD $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation and applicable site allowances

• DIDO arrangements may be available depending on project location

• Meals and accommodation provided for remote site work where applicable

• Ongoing work available for suitable candidates
