Cactus Wellhead is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Wellhead Workshop Supervisors to join our operations in Papua New Guinea.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role overseeing workshop operations, wellhead refurbishment activities, field support services, inventory management, pressure testing, and personnel supervision while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Working closely with Cactus Wellhead management, Client representatives, and field personnel, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of operational requirements across workshop and field environments.
About the Role
Roster: 4 Weeks On / 4 Weeks Off
Location: Papua New Guinea (PNG)
As the Wellhead Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating workshop activities, supporting field operations, managing inventory requirements, and ensuring compliance with all client and company HSE standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and lead Cactus Wellhead personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations
· Liaise daily with Client representatives and Operations Management
· Ensure compliance with all HSE systems, procedures, and client requirements
· Manage Wellhead inventory and stock control requirements
· Coordinate wellhead refurbishment, repair, rebuild, and pressure testing activities
· Prepare and manage permits, job packs, SOPs, JHAs, and risk assessments
· Conduct toolbox talks and participates in client safety meetings
· Maintain operational reports and communication requirements
· Review, complete, and submit wellhead reports and supporting documentation
· Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to Cactus and Clients personnel
· Support field operations and operational activities as required
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate experience and knowledge in one or more of the following:
· Wellhead equipment
· Valves
· Christmas trees
· Chokes
· Actuators
· Well integrity processes
· Pressure testing
· Wellhead repair, maintenance, and refurbishment activities
Candidates must have a minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience with wellhead equipment and associated systems.
You will also possess:
· Strong leadership and supervisory skills
· A commitment to safety and operational excellence
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
· Experience working within oil and gas operations, workshops, or field environments
· The ability to work effectively in remote and challenging operational settings
A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in oil and gas operations is preferred for this position.
Employment & Mobilisation Requirements
The successful candidate's commencement will be subject to obtaining all necessary Papua New Guinea work rights, including the successful issue of a work permit and visa.
As part of the mobilisation process, applicants must be willing and able to successfully complete:
· National Police Check
· Pre-employment medical assessment
· Drug and alcohol screening
· Any client-specific onboarding requirements
Please note that while the position will be performed for Cactus Wellhead in Papua New Guinea, employment and payroll administration may initially be managed through a third-party employment provider pending the establishment of a local Cactus Wellhead entity.
