Trade Assistant - Foundry Operator

Position Details: 

We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team as TA's and Operators for various sections of our foundry. No prior experience is necessary – all you need is a strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility. Training will be provided for all required tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Execute melting, moulding, knock out, and fettling of a diverse range of castings.

• Prepare and maintain workplace equipment, vibration screens, augers, conveyors , mini diggers, forklift and overhead cranes.

• Use of bandsaws, pneumatic grinders, needle guns (potential for plasma torch use)

• Ensure tasks are performed in a timely and efficient manner.

Desired Criteria:

• Hold a current forklift ticket; familiarity with overhead cranes is advantageous.

• Other high-risk tickets and a first aid ticket are desirable.

• Demonstrate personal honesty and integrity.

• Exhibit a desire to learn new processes.

• Take pride in your work outcomes.

• Physically fit for manual labor.

• Able to work safely at all times.

• Willingness to work flexibly, including early mornings, overtime, and occasional afternoon shifts.
  

 Mandatory:

• Employment is subject to the provision of a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
