Vac Truck Industries (VTI) is an Australian-owned OEM manufacturer, providing complete vacuum truck solutions to the civil construction, electrical, infrastructure, mining, drilling, oil, and gas industries of Australia. Our specialised range of equipment includes hydro excavation vacuum systems (vac trucks), high-pressure hydro drain cleaning jetter systems and liquid waste collection systems (sucker trucks) all available in a broad range of volume sizes and power capacities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
VTI is currently seeking a Full Time CNC Operator / Machinist. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the manufacturing of innovative vacuum truck technologies. You will be required to meet productivity and technical requirements and possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with our team to achieve overall business outcomes.


Your primary responsibilities will involve full-time operation, programming, and setup of CNC Mill or Lathe machines equipped with Fanuc controllers. This is a hands-on role that requires seamless collaboration within a close-knit team, maintaining an exceptionally high standard of workmanship.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS
To be considered you will possess the following:

CNC machining experience essential!

Must live locally - ready for immediate start.

  • Extensive experience in CNC manufacturing, encompassing programming and operational expertise.

  • A strong technical aptitude. 

  • Preference for candidates with a Machinist trade qualification.

  • Competency in using precision measuring equipment such as vernier calipers and micrometers.

  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings.

  • Display good mathematics skills.

  • Proficiency in computer usage.

  • A current driver’s license is required. HR license or Forklift ticket is highly regarded
