Event Gear is a Sydney-based manufacturer of custom Roadcases, CNC-cut foam inserts and transport solutions for the audio visual, broadcast and events industries.
We work with many of Australia's leading production companies, broadcasters and corporate AV providers, designing and manufacturing custom protective transport solutions for valuable equipment.
We're looking for a Workshop Fabricator to join our growing team and assist with the manufacture of custom Roadcases, foam inserts and related products from our Lidcombe workshop.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building things, working with tools and taking pride in producing quality workmanship.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assembly of custom Roadcases
Installation of hardware, rivets and fittings
Cutting and machining aluminium extrusions
Case foam fitouts and foam insert assembly
Operation of workshop machinery and power tools
Packing and dispatch of finished products
General workshop organisation and maintenance
Assisting with manufacturing projects as required
Our work is highly varied and often involves custom projects designed for unique equipment and applications.
We're looking for someone who:
Is mechanically minded and good with their hands
Has experience using power tools and workshop machinery
Produces accurate, high quality work
Is reliable, punctual and self-motivated
Can work independently and as part of a team
Takes ownership of their work and maintains a safe, organised workspace
Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Has a strong commitment to workplace safety
We're looking for someone who naturally notices when something isn't right and takes the initiative to help solve problems before they become bigger issues.
Cabinet makers, joiners and tradespeople looking for a varied workshop role are encouraged to apply.
Cabinet making or joinery experience
CNC router operation
SolidWorks or other CAD Software experience
Forklift license
Work on interesting and varied custom projects
