Coded Welders - Shutdown – Olympic Dam

Are you an experienced Coded Welder looking to secure your next shutdown role? We have multiple opportunities available for upcoming shutdowns at Olympic Dam, one of Australia's largest mining and processing operations.

About the Opportunity

You will be joining experienced shutdown teams delivering critical maintenance and project works in a fast-paced mining environment. These roles are ideally suited to tradespeople who thrive in shutdown conditions, have a strong commitment to safety, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

The shutdown works are scheduled to run from 8 July to 4 August 2026. Please note that mobilisation and demobilisation may require an additional one to two days either side.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for these opportunities, you will have:

• Trade qualifications and demonstrated experience as a Coded Welder
• Current and relevant welding tickets/certifications
• Previous shutdown, mining, heavy industrial or construction experience (highly regarded)
• A current White Card
• Current Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights tickets
• The ability to successfully complete a weld test, if required
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• A reliable work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• BHP Olympic Dam Inductions is a big plus!
