Service Technician - Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician – Mechanic to join our Service team in Derrimut. This is a hands-on role focused on the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of trailers and transport equipment.

About the Role

As a Service Technician – Mechanic, you'll play a key role in our Service team, carrying out the servicing, maintenance and repair of trailers and transport equipment. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, diagnosing faults, ensuring trailers remains safe and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair trailers and transport equipment.

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on braking, suspension, hydraulic and electrical systems.

• Conduct inspections and identify repair or maintenance requirements.

• Complete trailer modifications, component replacements and general workshop repairs.

• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.

• Work collaboratively with the Service team to meet customer expectations and workshop targets.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic or equivalent.

• Experience servicing and repairing trailers, heavy vehicles or transport equipment.

• Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspension, hydraulics and electrical components.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• A commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with roadworthy inspections, trailer servicing or transport equipment maintenance will be highly regarded.
