Our business has been in operation since 1974.  Over this time we have established ourselves to be a leading manufacturer and service provider of road tank vehicles, trailers and infrastructure for industries associated with the energy and environmental management sectors.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter based in our Wacol, Queensland manufacturing facility.  An immediate start is available and On-the-job training will be provided. 

Reporting to the AGI Asset Reliability Group your responsibilities include; 

• Servicing and maintenance of LPG, Ammonia and Vacuum road tankers and components

• Piping system service and maintenance

• Pneumatic control system fault finding and maintenance

• Testing of repaired and serviced equipment

• Work as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered on time to a high quality

• Overhaul LPG and Ammonia pumps, valves and equipment

• Assemble and test LPG cylinder filling equipment

Preferred Skills and experience

• Competent in selection and use of fasteners to bolt-up assemblies

• Assembly of screwed and flange piping systems

• Routing and installation of pneumatic controls

• Trade Qualified (Certificate III)

• Supply of basic hand tools suitable for the task required

• Competent at overhauling pumps and valves

• Hydrostatic pressure testing of hoses and piping systems

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with heavy vehicle operation

• Basic welding ability in MIG & TIG processes

• Heavy vehicle license 

• High Risk work license for Forklift

• Operate lathe for minor machining tasks
