About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic who is confident not only in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles, but also in assisting with customer service and workshop administration. This is a full-time, hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with both customers and our workshop team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles
Identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
Perform safety checks, inspections, and roadworthy assessments
Prepare and send customer quotes and invoices
Answer phone calls and respond to customer enquiries
Greet customers and provide professional, friendly service
Explain repairs, maintenance requirements, and recommendations to customers
Schedule bookings and manage workshop workflow
Use computer systems for job cards, invoicing, quoting, and customer records
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Work collaboratively with team members to deliver outstanding service
About You
Qualified Motor Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role (preferred)
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Confident using computers, workshop management software, and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to prepare quotes, invoices, and customer correspondence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current driver's licence
Reliable, motivated, and takes pride in quality workmanship
