At SUEZ, we believe that clean water is the foundation of healthy communities. As part of our Alliance a landmark collaborative partnership with SA Water — we help supply safe, high-quality drinking water and manage wastewater services for metropolitan Adelaide.

We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Water Process Technician to join our team and play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of some of South Australia's most critical water and wastewater infrastructure.

About the Role

Reporting to the Hope Valley/Anstey Hill Plant Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of our operations — monitoring treatment processes, responding to plant issues, and ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. No two days are the same, and your work directly underpins the water security of Adelaide communities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and monitoring water treatment and wastewater plant

  • Responding to SCADA alarms and process trends, making informed adjustments to maintain optimal performance

  • Conducting plant sampling and laboratory testing to verify operational quality

  • Supporting and leading plant operations in the absence of the Plant Supervisor

  • Identifying opportunities to optimise processes and reduce energy costs

  • Monitoring subcontractor activity to ensure safety and quality standards are upheld

  • Maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with SA Water colleagues and key stakeholders

  • Upholding the highest standards of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance

What We're Looking For

You're a self-starter who takes pride in doing things right — whether you're adjusting a treatment process, responding to an after-hours callout, or briefing your supervisor on the day's events.

You'll bring:

  • A strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and quality outcomes

  • Practical experience in water, wastewater, utilities, or a related operational environment will be highly regarded

  • The ability to monitor complex systems, analyse process data, and think on your feet

  • Great communication skills and a team-first attitude

  • A current, unrestricted driver's licence

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (desirable, but not essential — we value the right attitude and a willingness to learn)
