Credit Risk Team Leader (Automotive Finance)

Company:  is a primary lender in the Automotive finance space.  They are a significant manufacturer automotive brand, who also provide finance for a wide range of sister automotive brands.


Opportunity:  18 months, or more, leadership opportunity to manage a credit analyst team assessing and approving automotive loans and will hold a $500,000 DLA for all types of cars and vehicles.


Role:  Will report to the head of operations with sole responsibility for managing the national credit assessment team who assess and decision consumer and commercial credit applications from franchised motor vehicle dealerships and brokers.

The team only assesses deals that can't be approved by the automated decisioning engine.  This role will be ensuring the que progresses within team KPI's and will manage escalated issues from the dealer networks.

There will be periodic performance reviews conducted on your reporting staff and you will be working with them on training and improvement plans for new a existing staff where needed.

Outside the usual flow of business this role will respond to AFCA complaints and other issues that may arise form time to time.


Requirements:  Applications will need to show the following skills and experience:

1. Prior experience with automotive finance, dealing with dealership or broker referred applications
2. Some people leadership, 2IC or training experience
3. Experience holding senior lending delegations for consumer and commercial finance
4. Focus on delivering on SLA / KPI's for the business and communicating with the broader business
