About the Role

As a Service Technician in our Customer Care team, you’ll provide practical hands-on support to customers in the Emergency Services Industry. 

This includes coordinating assembly, installation and maintenance of mobile data equipment in emergency vehicles, analysing service requests, and overseeing maintenance and repair activities both in the field and in the workshop.


You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work on the installation of our mobile data terminals and associated equipment on ambulances .

  • Perform 1st and 2nd tier diagnosis for assigned faults and systemic issues, and assemble, test, and repair vehicle and equipment assemblies.

  • Assist in preparing or updating installation/maintenance manuals, work instructions, and investigative reports, and maintain records of time spent on each activity.

  • Assist in controlling spare and faulty inventories, updating equipment location details, and advising management on replenishment requirements.

  • Ensure all installations and maintenance are conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with OH&S Regulation guidelines. 

  • Update and maintain all mandatory Equipment and Software Configuration details using the asset management system. 


What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Experience in either low voltage electrical or automotive roles in a customer-facing environment. 

  • Experience in investigation and analysis of hardware issues and management through to resolution. 

  • Experience in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and identifying electrical circuits. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.

  • Strong organisational skills, especially in documentation and record-keeping.

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to OH&S guidelines.

  • Ideally a Certificate II in Electronics, although this is not mandatory.
