Proactive Waterproofing Consultants is expanding and seeking an experienced Waterproofing QA and Compliance Inspector to support our growing inspection and compliance workload.
This is a specialist role for someone with a strong waterproofing background who understands the importance of correct detailing, substrate preparation, membrane installation, protection, testing and QA documentation.
The role is Melbourne metro based, with some regional Victorian work required.

Proactive Waterproofing Consultants is a specialist waterproofing consultancy providing technical advice, design reviews, QA inspections, compliance support, testing and reporting across commercial and multi-residential projects.
We work with builders, developers, consultants and project teams to help identify waterproofing risks early and support better project outcomes.
The Role
You will attend construction sites to inspect waterproofing works, assess installation quality, identify defects or non-conformances, and assist with inspection reports and QA records.
You will be supported by our QA & Site Operations Lead, with formal reports reviewed internally before they are issued to clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Waterproofing QA inspections across commercial and multi-residential projects
Reviewing installation quality against project specifications, approved details, manufacturer requirements, NCC requirements and relevant Australian Standards
Identifying defects, risks, omissions and non-conforming works and materials
Documenting site observations with clear photos and notes
Assisting with waterproofing testing and compliance activities
Liaising with builders, subcontractors and project teams
Preparing draft inspection reports for internal review
Supporting practical waterproofing recommendations on site
Skills and Experience
We are seeking someone with:
Significant waterproofing experience
Preferably Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing
Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, detailing and installation requirements
Experience across commercial or multi-residential projects
Ability to identify poor workmanship, incomplete detailing and future waterproofing risk
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confidence working with builders and site teams
Current driver’s licence
A practical, professional and solutions-focused approach
Previous consulting experience is not required. A strong waterproofing background is essential.
