Hillside Carpet Court is a professional, well-established flooring retailer with two stores — Hillside and Mount Barker. We supply and install carpet, timber, hybrid, laminate, vinyl plank and window furnishings for residential and commercial clients across South Australia. About the role

This apprenticeship covers both our Hillside and Mount Barker stores, giving you great variety and the chance to work across a wide range of jobs and clients. Each day begins with loading up at our Mount Barker store, so you'll need to be reliably on time and ready to go from the start.

Day-to-day you'll be working alongside our experienced installation team learning:

- Measuring and preparing subfloors

- Laying carpet, hybrid, timber and vinyl plank flooring

- Reading floor plans and interpreting job specifications

- Accurate handling and cutting of materials

- On-site customer interaction during installations

- Loading, unloading and organising stock and materials

This is a hands-on role — every day on the tools is a day building skills that will last a lifetime.

What we're looking for

- Motivated school leaver or career changer with a genuine interest in the flooring trade

- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks throughout the day

- Current driver's licence (essential — daily loading from Mount Barker store required)

- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player

- Willingness to complete a Certificate III in Flooring Technology through a registered training organisation
