Inspire Energy is one of NSW's leading solar installation companies, delivering residential, commercial and government-funded renewable energy projects across the state. As our installation portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team and become the go-to expert for fault finding, warranty support and customer service.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician or experienced solar installer looking to transition away from the physical demands of daily installations and into a more technical, problem-solving-focused position.
As our Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and resolving solar and electrical issues, completing warranty repairs and supporting customers through troubleshooting and service requests.
You'll work closely with customers, manufacturers, suppliers and our installation teams to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
This role offers a mix of office-based technical support and field service work, making it perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems and delivering exceptional customer service.
Diagnose and resolve solar system faults.
Troubleshoot inverter, battery and monitoring issues.
Assist customers with technical enquiries via phone and email.
Liaise with manufacturers regarding warranty claims and technical support.
Provide remote troubleshooting assistance where possible.
Attend service calls and fault investigations.
Complete warranty replacements and repairs.
Perform system inspections and commissioning checks.
Carry out basic electrical maintenance and repair work.
Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and industry requirements.
Create detailed service reports and job notes.
Maintain accurate records within company systems.
Document faults, findings and corrective actions.
Track warranty claims and service requests through to completion.
Assist with service scheduling and prioritisation.
Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Communicate technical information clearly to customers.
Build positive relationships with homeowners, suppliers and manufacturers.
Represent the Inspire Energy brand in a professional manner.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in solar installations, electrical service work or solar maintenance.
Electrical Licence
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of solar PV systems, inverters and batteries.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong computer literacy and ability to learn software systems.
Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
CEC Accreditation.
Experience with Fronius, Sungrow, GoodWe, SolarEdge, Tesla, Enphase or similar products.
Previous service technician experience.
Experience managing warranty claims and manufacturer support processes.
Full-time or part-time opportunities available.
