Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our HR Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted Northgate based Transport business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that! 

This opportunity is an initial 12 month fixed term contract working full time with potential for permanency. The roster is 24 hours rotating hours with shifts from Sunday to Friday with a combination of day and night shifts so flexibility is a must. Penalties of 15% or 30% apply depending on the shift you are working on.

You’ll be 

Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery. 
Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.  
Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.  
Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.

About you 

You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player.
You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.

You’ll also need to   

Hold a relevant HR vehicle licence.
Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility. 
Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills. 
Meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.
Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights. 
Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and nationally coordinated criminal history checks.
