Curtain Repair Technician – Anytime By Fleetmark

OVERVIEW:

Anytime by Fleetmark Pty Ltd is a specialist mobile service provider that keeps transport and logistics operators moving with minimal downtime. Based in Truganina, we service truck and trailer tautliner systems—repairing and replacing curtains, roll-over tarps, gates, roof rails and related components—both onsite and at its workshop. With a strong focus on punctuality, efficiency and reliability, Anytime Curtain Repairs supports clients 24/7, offering after-hours breakdown assistance as well as routine maintenance.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

The primary role of the Curtain Repair Technician is to deliver high-quality, efficient and reliable repair services for truck and trailer curtain systems. This includes repairing curtain holes, replacing hardware and components, fixing basic roof and pelmet issues, and providing mobile onsite service to transport customers. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, safe work practices, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team while maintaining excellent communication with clients.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES DETERMINING SUCCESS:

Curtain & Tarp Repairs (Mobile Service)

· Repair holes, tears and worn areas in PVC curtains to a high standard.

· Conduct basic roof repairs and address roof-related leaks or damage.

· Repair or replace pelmet rubbers across trucks and trailers.

· Provide efficient mobile service at client sites.

Hardware & Component Replacement

· Replace rollers, buckles, straps tensioning systems and related components.

· Assist with minor tautliner body repairs where curtain damage affects functionality

Safety, Quality & Workmanship

· Ensure all repairs meet quality, safety and presentation standards.

· Maintain tools, equipment and service vehicles in safe, operational condition.

· Accurately document jobs, parts used and work performed.

· Ensure all OH&S requirements are carried out and met.

Customer Service & Communication

· Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on arrival, during repairs and upon completion.

· Provide advice to customers on preventing further damage or identifying emerging issues.

· Represent Anytime by Fleetmark Pty Ltd with reliability, punctuality and professionalism.

Teamwork & Flexibility

· Work both independently and collaboratively with other technicians.

· Support after-hours callouts as required (rotational or by agreement).

· Assist team members with larger repairs or dual-technician jobs when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Formal

· Driver's licence required.

Experience

· Experience in the transport, trailer, automotive or curtain-sider industry highly regarded.

· Understanding of curtainsider trailer operation (opening/closing curtains, recognising damaged components).

· Ability to work mobile, outdoors and independently.

· Trade background, automotive body repair or textiles experience is advantageous.

· Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude; "handy" with tools.

· Good communication skills when dealing with customers onsite.

· Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

· Strong problem-solving abilities, including diagnosing issues on arrival.

· Ability to manage time effectively and meet client expectations.

· Capacity to work independently or in a small team.

· Flexibility with work hours, including occasional after-hours work.

· Competence with hand tools and power tools (impact guns, drills, grinders, etc.).

· Reliable, punctual and safety focused.
