With over 35 years of operation and multiple offices across Queensland, we deliver HVAC, Electrical, and Fire Services on major and minor projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dry Fire Installer to join our Brisbane team. This role is focused on the installation, fit-off, testing, and commissioning of dry fire protection systems across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality dry fire installations in accordance with Australian Standards, project specifications, statutory requirements, and client expectations. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a professional project team, contributing to the successful delivery of construction and refurbishment projects throughout Southeast Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, fit-off, and commission dry fire protection systems in accordance with Australian Standards and project requirements
• Install fire detection and alarm systems, emergency warning and intercommunication systems (EWIS), emergency and exit lighting systems, fire extinguishers, fire doors, and passive fire protection systems
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Coordinate installation activities with project managers, site supervisors, builders, and other trades
• Conduct testing and commissioning of installed systems to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements
• Identify and rectify installation defects and system issues during project delivery
• Complete commissioning reports, installation records, quality assurance documentation, and project paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies, site requirements, and workplace health and safety standards
• Assist in achieving project milestones and meeting construction programme deadlines
• Undertake additional installation and project-related tasks as directed
Qualifications / Professional Registrations / Other Skill Requirements
• Previous experience installing dry fire systems within the fire protection industry
• Experience working on commercial construction projects
• Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and fire system installation requirements
• Experience installing fire detection, EWIS, MASD, Auxiliary’s, emergency lighting, extinguishers, and passive fire systems
• Current QBCC Fire Protection Occupational License (or ability to obtain)
• Fire industry qualifications and relevant licenses highly regarded
• Ability to read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
• High attention to detail and strong focus on safety
• Current QLD Driver's License
• Construction Industry White Card
