The Opportunity

With our continuous growth at Qube Bulk, we are looking to employ on a full-time basis our next Workshop Supervisor to join our operations in Prominent Hill.

The main focus of this role will see you as the interface between the workshop and maintenance team, fleet controllers and our Transport operators. You will be responsible for the supervision of all Mechanical Fitters in our workshop to ensure our modern fleet of Volvo prime movers, earth moving equipment and trailers are all operational and serviced, maintained and repaired as needed in accordance with requirements.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Management of workshop staff across all crews on site
  • Working closely with all leading hands and maintenance planner to schedule all preventative maintenance tasks
  • Maintain fleet paper trail on servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
  • Maintenance schedule and operating manuals/procedures.
  • Identify and record deficiencies relating to products and services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Mechanical Trade Certification - Light Vehicle Certificate minimum.
  • Experience in supervisor/management roles
  • Mainpac and Sisense knowledge preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with Heavy Duty Equipment
  • Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proven experience of repairing and maintaining light vehicle fleets onsite.
  • Ability to work safely in a regulated environment
